Communications Coordinator (Toronto - Downtown - January 5, 2010)
Our client, a high tech consumer products client, is seeking a Communications Coordinator. This is an integral role to ensure that all information provided both internally and externally is accurately and consistently presented to the appropriate audience. The ideal candidate should have over three years experience in a fast paced business environment dealing with multiple business initiatives. This is a temporary three month assignment, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage content for the web based Technical Service Tool including updates and additions. This tool is widely used internally as a source for product information and it is important that the information is accurate and current.
- Design and implement improvement opportunities for the Web Based Tool.
- Assist with the managing Supplier Handbook content; validate content with suppliers, update content, submit for French translation and post internally.
- Conduct monthly reviews of company web sites to ensure Technical Service content is current, accurate and easy to locate and understand. Communicate updates to business owners as required.
- Conduct monthly reviews of competitors’ websites for technical service support and identify any significant changes to current service programs.
- Manage Customer Forum content for Hardware Service related communications. Gather and consolidate, and report on common customer questions/issues. Initiate a course of action including the creation of content for knowledge management tools.
- Participate in cross functional meetings for new product introductions.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or equivalent.
- Self starter that demonstrates initiative and personal accountability
- Excellent working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Pivot tables)
- Creative thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic about new technology and wireless devices.
- Post secondary education
- Minimum 3 years business experience
